The Story of Club 1984...
It All Started in August of 23'
It was the summer of last year, a time when the days were long and the air was filled with the promise of new beginnings. Freshly graduated from Monroe Community College, I was eager to take on a new challenge. The idea of starting a short film club had been simmering in my mind, and now, with the freedom of summer and the company of my closest friends, it felt like the perfect moment to bring it to life.
Setting up our initial shoots, we faced our share of obstacles—technical glitches, scheduling conflicts, creative disagreements—but each challenge only strengthened our resolve. Late-night editing sessions, impromptu filming locations, and the sheer thrill of creating something from nothing became the highlights of our days.
As the summer progressed, our short film club became more than just a project. It was a testament to our shared passion, a canvas for our creativity, and a source of countless unforgettable moments. Through every trial and triumph, we found joy in the journey, knowing that this was just the beginning of our storytelling adventure.
I am so grateful for every member of my cast and crew and all their hard work that has made this project come to life.
Synopsis
Set against the backdrop of the sun-soaked beaches of the 1980s, the film follows the lives of three teenagers who attempt to plan the ultimate beach party. But as they strive to create the perfect summer escape, old rivalries bubble to the surface, threatening to turn their idyllic day into chaos.

OUR DEBUTE AT THE LITTLE THEATER
Join us for the premiere of "Club 1984," a visually stunning short film directed by Jenna Blakeslee and co-written with Victor Dangelmaier, who also serves as the cinematographer. Set against the sun-soaked beaches of the 1980s, the film follows three teenagers as they plan the ultimate beach party.
